Leadership Team
Smyyth's leadership team is comprised of senior executives with extensive backgrounds in financial and operations management including Credit, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Deductions and Technology, as well as experience managing for quality and growing strong organizations. Smyyth's executives work together cross-functionally to serve our clients throughout the revenue cycle.
John Metzger- Chairman, Smyyth Family of Companies
John Metzger is Chairman of the Smyyth Family of Companies. He was formerly CEO and Founder of Creditek Corp., which was the leader in the credit and receivables business process outsourcing and consulting industry. He led that company from founding to its sale in 2002, and has since led Smyyth to a technology and thought leadership position in the corporate credit-to-cash field. Earlier in his career he was Managing Director of a consulting firm, and Executive Vice President of worldwide operations for a consumer goods company. John holds a B.S. degree in management and finance from Rutgers University.
Yesinne Alvarez - Vice President, Client Solutions
Vice President of Smyyth and also serving as President, Federation of Credit and Financial Professionals Yesinne previously served in management positions with Thermo Fischer Scientific and Union Camp Corporation. She holds a BA from Seton Hall University. Yesinne is a frequent speaker for the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) and industry trade groups, and is a member of the Credit Research Foundation and the Credit & Financial Development Division of NACM (CFDD).
Frank Boni - Vice President, Collections
Frank is Vice President of Smyyth Collections LLC, Smyyth's collection agency affiliate, and has more than 20 years of experience in commercial collections, most recently as Director of Operations and Sales Support for NCO Financial Systems, Inc. Earlier in his career he served in management capacities with Dun & Bradstreet RMS and Payco GAC Corp. Frank has a B.S. in Business Administration from Hofstra University.
E. John Broderick - President, Credit Services
John began his career with Smyyth's predecessor, Alberta-Smyth, joining the firm in 1970 after graduating from Rider College with majors in Business Administration and Analytic Philosophy. Throughout his career, John has been extensively involved in both recruiting and the credit and receivables management fields, as President of the Association of Personnel Consultants of New York, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Credit and Financial Professionals. During the course of his career, he has been a frequent speaker and author on subjects concerning the credit field.
Robert F. Carbonell - Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Bob, who joined Smyyth affiliate Bernard Sands LLC in 1998 and is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, and is a well-known expert in retail industry credit. Prior to his current role, Bob held positions with Dun & Bradstreet including Director of Credit-Credit Clearing House, Director-Credit Interchange and Senior Industry Consultant-National Credit Office. In addition to his core responsibilities, Bob also manages Bernard Sands retail channel interchange groups.
Bonnie Gerrity - Managing Director, Bernard Sands
Bonnie is managing director of Bernard Sands LLC, the Smyyth affiliate that is a leading trade credit ratings and reporting firm, managing a team of analysts, operations, and sales staff. Bonnie was formerly a consultant in the commercial loan workout area, and credit officer with PNC/Midlantic Bank in charge of a team of 20 commercial credit analysts for loan package preparation. Earlier, she was Compliance Officer and Commercial Loan Officer for Midlantic Bank. Bonnie is a graduate of the University of Delaware, with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Karen McCann - Vice President, Operations
Karen has 20 years of experience in data management, administration, human resources, and customer service, including serving as Director, Client Services with Creditek, an outsourcing company, and as a manager with Bell Atlantic,. In addition to managing Smyyth’s operations and client services, Karen is the manager for the company's credit and accounts receivable technology software.
Kristen Metzger - President, Outsourcing and Technology Solutions
Kristen previously served as Sr. Vice President Operations for Creditek, an outsourcing firm, and worked for Accenture in Strategy and Business Architecture. Kristen is nationally known for her deep expertise in credit and receivables management, revenue dilution control, and vendor compliance. She has been awarded a Certified Six Sigma Supplier Black Belt, and has managed outsourcing operations for Fortune 500 clients, with teams of hundreds of people, and has consulting experience in consumer goods and health care. Kristen received a BA Economics from The University of Vermont and has an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Barry Priestley - Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Smyth in 2009, Barry was a founding partner and CFO for Trades Publishing Inc, an internet media and publishing company in the construction industry, where he managed all facets of finance, IT and administration. Prior to that, he served as Senior Accountant at Merrill Lynch. Barry holds a BA in Accounting and Information Systems from Pace University.
Larissa Trofimov - Vice President, Technology
Before joining Smyyth in 2003, Larissa worked in analytical and web application development with Dun & Bradstreet. During her IT career she has been a technology consultant for several large U.S.-based organizations, and worked in operating systems development for several companies in Europe. She holds a M.S. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Since joining Smyyth, Larissa has managed the development of industry leading credit and receivables management platforms.
Marc Wagman - Managing Director, Credit Protection
Prior to joining Smyyth in 2003, as Managing Director of Smyth Trade Credit LLC, Smyyth's credit insurance brokerage affiliate, Marc was Vice President for Euler Hermes ACI in New York. Earlier, he traded distressed accounts receivable and bank loans for Amroc Investments, a New York City based investment company. He began his career as a treasury and financial analyst for The CIT Group, Inc., where he managed CIT's interest rate swap portfolio. Marc graduated from Rutgers University with B.A. in Political Science, and obtained his MBA in Finance from the Fordham University Graduate School of Business.
Kim Zablocky - Founder and Chairman, VCF (Formerly Vendor Compliance Federation)
Before founding VCF, Kim served as President of one of the oldest commercial credit associations in the United States, established in 1895, The New York Credit and Financial Management Association (now named The Federation of Credit and Financial Processionals), and its affiliated service companies. With more than 25 years serving companies in manufacturing and financial industries, Kim is well known for his expertise in customer financial services. Kim holds a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York.
